Tailsy (“we,” “us,” the “app”) helps you track your pet’s daily care. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Account information. When you create an account you provide an email address and password, used to authenticate you and sync your data across devices.
Pet and care data you enter. Your pet’s name, breed, birth date, optional profile photo, your vet’s name and email, and the activity you log — feeding, potty breaks, walks, water, medication, sleep, health records, reminders, notes, and timestamps. Some entries include a free-text label you choose (e.g. “Outside”). This is not GPS data.
AI assistant messages. When you use “Ask Tailsy,” the messages you type and relevant information from your pet’s records are sent to our server and AI providers to generate a response (see “Third parties”).
Device location (GPS). The app may ask for location access to estimate travel time to vet and grooming appointments. This is calculated on your device only — your precise location is never sent to our servers or any third party, and we do not store it.
No advertising or analytics tracking. Tailsy includes no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Only to provide the app: to authenticate you, store and sync your pet records, send the reminders you schedule, and answer your questions in “Ask Tailsy.” We do not sell your personal information.
Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete individual pets and their logs in the app, sign out to clear Tailsy data from a device, or request deletion of your account and all server-side data by contacting us below.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Tailsy is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by your local law.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
